Mundra Port handles 155+ million tonnes annually across 7 container terminals with 6+ million TEU capacity. CONNECTIVITY
Mundra Port is India's largest commercial port by volume, handling 155+ million tonnes annually with direct liner services to the Middle East, Africa, Europe, and Americas. The integrated APSEZ — spanning 13,000+ hectares — combines port operations, SEZ benefits, and logistics infrastructure in one complex. Direct DFC rail connectivity to North India and competitive port charges versus JNPA make Mundra the preferred gateway for high-volume, multi-cargo international operations.
Mundra's multi-cargo capabilities cover: containerised goods across 7 container terminals; bulk commodities (coal, iron ore, fertilizers, agri-products); chemicals and petrochemicals; automotive parts and vehicles (Ro-Ro terminal); energy resources (LNG, crude); FMCG and consumer goods. The FTWZ supports all these cargo categories with appropriate storage zones, including ambient, climate-controlled, and hazmat-compliant compartments.
Mundra offers three advantages for North India trade: (1) Direct DFC rail connectivity with high-speed freight transit to Delhi NCR; (2) Lower port charges compared to JNPA terminals; (3) Larger scale and capacity reducing congestion risks. For pure containerised cargo destined for Mumbai/Pune markets, JNPA remains optimal. For multi-cargo operations or North India distribution, Mundra typically offers better economics.
Standard bonded warehousing within APSEZ allows duty-deferred storage but typically with 1-year limits and restricted activities. The Astromar FTWZ at Mundra offers unlimited storage tenure, broader permitted activities under SEZ Act 2005 (including manufacturing, value addition, and re-export), full duty and GST deferral, and 5-year income tax exemption on re-export profits — making it ideal for high-volume international traders and consolidators.
Partner with India's leading FTWZ provider and unlock duty-free warehousing, GST deferment, and seamless logistics.
