CBM stands for Cubic Meter — the universally accepted unit for cargo volume in sea freight, air freight, and road transport. Freight charges are based on actual weight or volumetric weight, whichever is higher. CBM = Length (m) × Width (m) × Height (m) × Quantity If dimensions are in centimeters: CBM = (L cm ÷ 100) × (W cm ÷ 100) × (H cm ÷ 100) × Qty Example: A carton 60cm × 40cm × 50cm, quantity 100 boxes: = (0.60 × 0.40 × 0.50) × 100 = 0.12 × 100 = 12 CBM For multiple item types, calculate CBM for each and sum.
